Mr. Sharif Zahir has been elected as the Chairman of the Board during the company's 207th Board Meeting recently.

Mr. Sharif Zahir is an eminent businessperson in Bangladesh and one of the youngest Commercially Important Persons (CIP) in Bangladesh. He is the eldest son of Late Md. Humayun Zahir, a renowned industrialist. He is the Managing Director of Ananta Group, a renowned business house in the apparel and textile sector. Under his leadership, the business of Ananta Group expanded into other sectors such as Real Estate, Banking and E-commerce.

Mr. Zahir is also the Chairman of Zero Gravity Ltd. He is former Vice Chairman of United Commercial Bank Ltd. (UCBL) and former Chairman of Vanguard Asset Management Ltd.

He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, USA with major in Economics and Finance. Mr. Zahir is a visionary leader with active involvement with various social organizations.
